Crete Joins “IN-BOUND” Strategic Partnership for the Industry of the Future (Industry 5.0)

he Technical Schools of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce take part in the IN-BOUND project focused on Industry 5.0.
The Technical Schools of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce (KEK Technical Schools) are proud to announce their participation as a key partner in the new European Erasmus+ program titled “IN-BOUND: Attracting talent through 5.0 future-ready competences for a modernised process industry.”
In an era of rapid industrial transformation, the IN-BOUND project aims to bridge the gap between Vocational Education and Training (VET) and the evolving needs of modern industry. Centered on the principles of Industry 5.0—which prioritize human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience—the project seeks to attract new talent by equipping them with “future-ready” skills.
Innovation in Vocational Training
As a specialized educational body with deep knowledge of the Greek labor market, the Technical Schools of the Heraklion Chamber will play a decisive role in the consortium. Collaborating with partners from Finland (Lead Partner), Portugal, Turkey, and Bulgaria, the Greek team will contribute to developing pioneering tools to modernize industrial career paths.
The primary deliverables of the IN-BOUND project include:
A Strategic Vision for Crete
“Our participation in the IN-BOUND project reinforces our commitment to bringing international expertise to the workforce of Crete,” stated a representative of the Technical Schools. “Through this Erasmus+ KA220-VET partnership, we ensure that our students and local businesses remain at the forefront of European industrial trends.”
The project spans 24 months and is funded by the European Union, promoting international cooperation and the exchange of best practices.
